Alta
Alta is the central town of the largest and least populated Norwegian region - the extreme northeast Finnmark. The local culture and traditions are a mixture of Norwegian and Sami culture. For many years the town belonged only to the Northern Scandinavian indigenous people and was under Finland's administration.
