The imperial town of Goslar has a rich history, started in 922 by its discoverer Heinrich I. Goslar. Located at the foot of the Harz Mountains, the town prospered over time by the aid of the silver mines of Rammelsberg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The towering summit stands behind the Kaiserpfalz (imperial palace), built in the Romanesque style. The visitor can admire the unique town silhouette, given by the 47 chapels` spires, and also feel the charm of the 600-years-old streets.
